The area surrounding Tower Bridge is awash with some of London’s oldest and most interesting histories and stories. With landmarks ranging from those hundreds of years’ old such as the bridge itself and The Tower of London (housing the famous Crown Jewels!) to those equally as awe-inspiring and impressive including The Shard, HMS Belfast and City Hall. Whatever you’re there for, the area is a feast for the eyes and you can’t help gasp at every turn.
Some of the key areas our office on Tower Bridge Road covers include the historic Shad Thames, which has been kept true to its warehouse/wharf style architecture, with its cobbled streets and Thames side balconies, to the quirky markets and independent eateries of Bermondsey street. Bermondsey street is home to many farmers markets, antique markets, Maltby street food market and local breweries, and even boasts the ‘Craft beer Mile’ which any member of the team will be happy to acquaint you with!
If you still have appetite for more, head on down to Borough market which famously offers food and refreshments from every corner of the earth, with enthusiastic vendors ready and willing to take you on the journey or each of their unique and niche offerings.
Journeying further along the river will see you reach Surrey Quays, where the office as a whole has spent a huge amount of time familarising themselves with all the area has to offer due to number of new developments popping up along the water’s edge that the team have been involved with. The most notable of these include phases one and two of the successful Tavern Quay development.
London Bridge station offers underground access from the Jubilee and Northern lines as well as a whole host or over ground destinations. There are also a plethora of bus routes delivering you to north, south, east and west London.
