The Jam Tree
This fun and diverse restaurant offers a lovely range of British and Colonial inspired dishes. If you’re searching for a cheeky tipple, you can go and experience the team’s brilliant drinks; our personal favourite is one of their signature cocktails – The Jam Mojito. Created by the team who runs The Diary (British tapas and wine bar), this innovative and modern restaurant has great reviews and a fantastic reputation for developing incredibly well presented and great tasting food. Their dining room has a casual look and feel and their bar offers a comfortable space to sit and enjoy their wide range of experimental drinks. You’re also encouraged to put your stamp on the walls when you head to the bathroom, where you’re offered the experience of redecorating with your own individual flare. Trust us when we say; The Manor is bound to give you an unforgettable dining experience.

This chic & modern pub is a great addition to Clapham Old Town, with its large French windows opening up onto the street in the summer and its first-floor terrace overlooking Clapham common, it’s the perfect place for a boozy brunch or dinner. The friendly staff and hip crowd give a relaxed feel, developing a good reputation for having the prime location for a bright summer’s day, with their very reasonably priced drinks and flavoursome foods. We would definitely recommend No 32 for a morning breakfast on their first-floor terrace, in the summer, with a cocktail (or two).

Venn Street Records
If you love live music, are a cocktail queen and crave a vibrant partying atmosphere then Venn Street Records is the place for you. With it’s affordable drinks, stacks of vinyl’s, occasional live music and neon lights, the bar offers a lively night out. The kind of night that you’d expect to end with some dancing around the tables and a ‘oh go on then, just one more’ being thrown around a few times. This hip bar is based a 2 minute walk from Clapham Common station is a definite hot spot for a fun night out.

The original bar situated on Northcote Road
This inviting DJ bar, based next to Clapham South Station, has a reputation for being one of the best DJ bars in South London and we have to say that we agree! Its consistantly great music and brilliant variety of drinks provides a buzzing and welcoming atmosphere, attracting the young party patrons of London. Its large open front terrace provides the perfect place for relaxing summer cocktails, outdoor lunch & dinner before the late night festivities begin.

If you’re looking for a sophisticated yet exciting night out then DNA is the place you should be heading to. With their bar staff dressed as scientists in lab coats and goggles creating very experimental cocktails, neon lights, a large spacious dance floor and caged raised VIP areas, this crazy dance club is certain to provide a wild night out. Head down there for their 1st birthday on Saturday 21st March for their 2 part birthday night, starting with some stand up comedy and ending the night with ‘Round 2’.

Northcote Road is a real gem within Clapham, filled with many cafes, bars, restaurants, boutiques and popular markets; it holds a brilliant community atmosphere. Its nickname of ‘Nappy Valley’ gives a youthful and family vibe, which is exactly what the road is known for. Named by The Independent as 15th friendliest place to live, Northcote Road bases its reputation on its warm, family orientated shops & cafes. The Northcote Antique market has also been named by The Independent as one of the 50 best markets to visit due to its longstanding reputation for vibrancy and variety. With stalls outdoors and indoors, spread across two floors, selling some of the best antique furniture, ceramics and glassware around, we can see why the Independent made this statement.
Northcote Road itself has a lovely weekend market with a variety of stalls from fresh flowers, fruit and veg, cheeses and patisseries which is a perfect for all families in the surrounding area. You’ll come across many independent shops and high street boutiques on your travels such as; Petit Bateau, Jigsaw and Whistles.
Based at the heart of Clapham, Clapham common is a vital part of the area’s popularity. With many popular events; charity, exercise camps and festivals, being held on the greens, this 220 acre large parkland brings a lot of locals and tourists together. The common holds many amenities including; three ponds, a Victorian band stand, a running track, a bowling green, cricket, football, rugby and Australian Rules football pitches and a skateboard venue, providing locals with many fun activities.
